The idea for this post was stolen from the always amazing blog Flea Market Funk!
This month marked the 3 year anniversary passing of the great James Yancey aka J-Dilla. To go along with the many number of tribute projects, the creative minds of Carlos Nino and Miguel Atwood Ferguson put together an orchestral interpretation entitled A Suite for Ma Dukes.
A four Song EP has been released via iTunes while the full album drops in April. All proceeds will go to Jay Dee’s mom Ma Dukes.
