AGNES OBEL

I came across this album the other day and for some reason decided to give it a listen. I've probably heard it 20 times since then. It's not something that would normally turn my head, as i'm not much for girlish voices w/piano, but this is lovely with a nice sheen of melancholy and a touch of menace. It's gone double platinum worldwide but it appears she's all but unknown here. Her cover of John Cale's I Keep A Close Watch is just wonderful. Listen:
